This visa is intended for applicants travelling to visit Spain for the purpose of business visit. This visa does not allow the visa holder to work in Spain apart from the purpose stated at the time of application.
Only legal residents of Bahrain who has valid Bahrain residency that covers the entire duration of the trip (‘til the date of return) can apply at the Visa Application Center.
Diplomatic Passport Holders – does not require visa to enter Spain only. If travelling to other Schengen destination, please check your visa requirement from corresponding Embassy.

Those who want to travel to Portugal need authorization from Embassy of Portugal in Abu Dhabi before applying visa.

The Embassy reserves the right to call on applicants for interview if further details or documents are required.
Visa applicants must submit their application in person and enroll their biometric (fingerprints) at the time of submission.
Only applicants travelling within the next 6 months (180 days) can submit their application.This period is extended to 9 months in the case of seamen.
For those applicants, regardless the type of residence (still the sticker in the
passport or Civil ID) whose residence expires in less than three months after their
return from the trip, are requested to provide us with a certificate issued by PACI
(Public Authority for Civil Information).

Incomplete, unclear or unsigned applications will not be accepted; and the visa application can only be processed upon receipt of ALL documents required by the Embassy (see List of required documents).
Visa fees are non-refundable and have to be paid only in cash at the time of submission.

Countries with a visa facilitation agreement with the European Union and children between the ages of 6-12 years. The Schengen visa fee amounts to 38.00 USD for national of Albania, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Fyrom, Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia, Ukraine. Under normal circumstances, the processing of applications can take up to 15 days to 45 days.
The above period does not guarantee that applications will be processed within that certain duration; the period may be extended up to a maximum of 60 calendar days in individual cases, notably when further scrutiny of the application is needed or in cases of representation where the authorities of the represented Member state are consulted.
