Apply for VISA to Spain In Bahrain

EEA/EU Dependent

This visa is intended for passport holders who require visa to visit Spain as their main destination and are travelling or joining their immediate family members of EEA / EU nationals.

EU Spouse applicants are requested to send an Email to Embassy of Spain, Kuwait at emb.kuwait.vis@maec.es before Bookings and Appointment.

Only legal residents of Bahrain who has valid Bahrain residency that covers the entire duration of the trip (‘til the date of return)

Visa applicants must submit their application in person and enrol their biometric (fingerprints) at the time of submission if they are 12 years old and above.

Only applicants travelling within the next 6 months (180 days) can submit their application.This period is extended to 9 months in the case of seamen.

Visa fee for EU / EEA dependants who are travelling/joining the EU nationals is free of charge. You may apply at the Visa Application Center with a minimal fee of 18 USD as service charge. Kindly arrange your appointment and submit your application with complete supporting documents. We accept visa fees in US dollars only.

Note: There is a mandatory logistic charges of USD 90.000 per application and 10% VAT extra.

"Checklist"

EEA / EU DEPENDENT and dependant, who are travelling or joining the EU national, may apply for this category.

Applicants may submit their application at the Visa Application Center with corresponding service fee of 15.000 USD. Kindly arrange for you appointment by clicking here.

Please read the below requirements carefully and ensure that you have the complete documents upon submission, to avoid inconveniences:

  • Original duly completed and signed application form.
    • (No.37, Applicable in case of multiple-entry box, and declaration must be signed)
  • Original passport (must be at least 6 months valid from the date of travel).
    • Note: Bahrain residence permit (for non-GCC nationals) must be valid at least minimum 3 months from the date of return and passport must contain 2 empty pages.
  • 1 recent passport size photograph (white background) – ICAO compliant
  • Not older than 6 months.
  • Proof of relation (e.g. birth certificate and/or marriage contract).
  • Note: Marriage contract must be updated and registered in the EU country.
  • For descendants over 21 and ascendants: proof that you are economically dependants of EU/EEA citizen.
  • Copy of EEA DEPENDENT’ passport
  • Any proof that you are travelling or joining the EU/EEA citizen ( any proof that the EU/EEA citizen is living in Spain (either flight or hotel reservations which shows both the name of the EU citizen and applicants.

Note: We regret we cannot accept photographs that do not meet these requirements

Please provide one recent photograph (not more than 6 months old) of yourself, which should not have been used previously in the passport. The photograph should be in colour and:

  • Taken against white background so that features are distinguishable and contrast against the background.
  • Clear share quality and with the face in focus.
  • Printed on normal photographic paper (camera print).
  • Full face, non-smiling [without sunglasses, a hat/cap or other head covering, unless the applicant wears such items because of their religious belief or ethnic background]
  • Please stick the Photograph on the Visa Application Form.

Note: Please follow these instructions carefully. If photographs presented do not meet these requirements your application will be considered incomplete. A photo booth meeting these requirements is available at the centre..

Under normal circumstances, the processing of applications can take up to 15 days to 45 days.

The above period does not guarantee that applications will be processed within that certain duration; the period may be extended up to a maximum of 60 calendar days in individual cases, notably when further scrutiny of the application is needed or in cases of representation where the authorities of the represented Member state are consulted.

When additional documentation is needed in specific cases, the period may be extended up to a maximum of 60 calendar days.
